Hello and good day jazz fans. It’s been a few weeks since our Last of the Season Jazz Café and what a HOT night that was. Marrying Jazz and Classical was something that I have always wanted to do. With Stu Goldberg on board I knew that my Jazz audience would be in for a melodious ride… and that it was! I’m still getting letters from you expressing your excitement from that evening and asking when Jazz Café will continue. What a blast to end the 2nd season this way. Thank you Jakub Kaiser, as well as our amazing house band; Bernie Addington, Scotty Gamble, Neville Bowman & Craig Thomson. It’s like a treat for me each month I perform with this mega talented band. Stay tuned for the next Jazz Café season starting up again in the fall. I’ll keep you posted.
I want to thank you all who came to any Jazz Café and tipped the bar and service volunteers. As a result of your generosity the volunteers have pooled both seasons’ tips and are planning a two day camp out filled with food, drink and fun. We are a great team and they deserve every nice thing that comes their way.
This month the band are doing a mixed hodge-podge of tidying up unfinished musical projects, putting our creative caps on to practice new arrangements, write some original material all in preparation of the fall series of Jazz Café.
Bernie Addington, Neville Bowman & Anna Jacyszyn (The Jazz Café Trio) will perform during the Sparkling Reception in the Lobby Lounge of the “Earth Wind and Fire” Evening, benefitting the Nature Trust of BC. This event is being held On Saturday May 29th at the Grand Ballroom, Delta Grand Okanagan Resort. An evening of talented and award winning Chefs as well as members of the Culinary Team of Canada pairing their innovative knowledge of ingredients with the most sought after wineries and breweries of the Okanagan and surround.
