DECEMBER 2011 JAZZ CAFÉ NEWSLETTER
As a child I would restlessly count the days before I was allowed to open My presents on Christmas. The days dragged like walking in my Wellingtons through deep mud. But I resisted with all my being not to look under the tree for my name, find it, shake it, secretly unwrap it then wrap it back up. Now the days sprint through the months so quickly it’s December! (When did it happen?!)
“Oh come all yea faithful”…Jazz Lovers! I would like to thank you ALL for your continued support. Just by reading my monthly newsletters is supporting Live Jazz, so don’t think this is not pertaining to YOU! So, Thank You. The team and I continue to work hard keeping our little speak-easy at an international level of quality……and I love performing.
This month’s Jazz Café on December 22nd is paying homage to the birth of Christ as well as giving you festive fun, swinging on Santa and keeping the bite of winter at bay with hot jazz originals written by our very own Jazz Café Band. Last year’s bursary recipient James Prescott will honour our stage and perform a few tunes, plus a few more treats in store. Book early as this one is almost full (members have priority booking until December 19th) – for ticket reservations 250-763-6141 or e: This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
