FEBRUARY 2012 NEWSLETTER JAZZ CAFÉ

On Feb 2^nd let’s hope the ground hog leaves its burrow and we mortals can celebrate the start of spring! Did you know the month of February is named after the Latin term februum, meaning purification?

It’s the Water Dragon year, the month of Aquarius and we are baptized in the purification of Saint Valentine and Cupids Love.  So be the theme of Feb 23^rd Jazz Café.  “If music be the food of love, play on – I’m hungry!” 

Setting the Romantic tone for the stage is Neville on vocals and piano, the passion of Bernie Addington on Double Bass, the slick cool of our beat master Scotty Gamble on Drums and flirting with you on the second set is your host and founder Anna Jacyszyn.  Jazz Café is pleased to announce that our special guest this month is the multitalented musician Stephen Buck (While Craig is away Stephen is slipping into his jazz slippers providing a lovely evening full of Crazy Stupid Love songs!) 

Stephen Buck was born in London Ontario and became a full time professional musician.  Now after a 30 year career performing on saxophone, clarinet and flute in theatre orchestras in Canada, America, Holland, France, England and Germany, he moved into our lovely neck of the woods with his gorgeous wife and equally handsome & musically talented two sons and became a REALTOR with Royal LePage.
